Patrick S. Smith
Patrick is a 1985 graduate, cum laude, from Southwestern University School of Law.  He was a recipient of the Mayor Tom Bradley Scholarship.

Patrick was a law clerk to the Honorable Robert M. Takasugi, United States District Judge for the Central District of California.  Judge Taksugi was a pioneering Judge who handled some of the biggest civil rights cases out of Southern California

Patrick served as an attorney in the United States Department of Justice.

Patrick worked in the Los Angeles County Puiblic Defender's Office.

Since 1991, Patrick has been in private practice representing people in most need of representation--persons with disabilities, children and adults charged in criminal cases in state and federal court, and families in need of help with school related discipline, expulsion, and juvenile and adult criminal issues.

Patrick's experience, however, is broad in that he practices in both state and federal court and represents all persons facing criminal allegations in adult and juvenile court.  He handles cases for clients that range from minor traffic and misdemeanor offenses to serious and complex felony cases.  Patrick recognizes that no matter how minor a case may be, for the client, it is the most serious matter.
